Walk into our classroom, and you’ll feel it right away, something special is happening.
At AI & Robotics Innovation Hub, we’ve teamed up with the SMAIR Foundation to launch SMAIR Club, a place where kids get to roll up their sleeves and explore the exciting world of AI and robotics. No experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to try.
In just a few short weeks, our students have gone from curious learners to confident creators.
They’ve already built projects like smart dustbins and water level indicators, using basic materials and simple tech to solve real-world problems.
What’s really exciting is how these kids are growing not just in skills, but in confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
👩🏾💻 A Space That Sparks Curiosity
Our classroom isn’t quiet and that’s intentional. It’s filled with chatter, laughter, and those brilliant “lightbulb” moments.
Every desk is a hands-on workspace, and every child is an active participant; cutting, wiring, testing, tweaking, and problem-solving together.
They’re not just following instructions; they’re building as a team, sketching designs, and taking ownership of their ideas.
Our mentors provide guidance, but the students are the ones driving the discovery. It’s not just STEM, it’s an experience.
💧 Project Spotlight: The Water Level Indicator
For their very first challenge, our young engineers designed a water level indicator. A simple yet effective device that tracks water levels in a tank and alerts when it’s too high or too low.
Using LEDs, buzzers, jumper wires, and a fair bit of teamwork, the students created systems that actually worked. Along the way, they learnt about wiring, basic logic, and coding and even personalised their devices’ casings.
At the end of the build, each group presented their project to the class, explaining how it worked, the challenges they faced, and what they learnt. It wasn’t just an engineering lesson; it was a confidence-building exercise in communication too.
🤖 Project Spotlight: The Smart Dustbin
Week by week, our young innovators brought a cardboard box to life and turned it into a smart machine that can see and respond.
In Week 2, they focused on the chassis cutting, folding, and assembling the framework of what would become their smart dustbin. They were introduced to one of the dustbin’s most important “organs”: the ultrasonic sensor, affectionately dubbed “the eyes”. With this component, the bin would one day detect when someone approaches.
By Week 3, it was time to add the body and the arm, the mechanical part responsible for lifting the lid. The students learned how a servo motor works in sync with the sensor to automatically open the lid when someone comes within 20 centimeters. (Yes, centimeters, they've got their measurements down too!)
By the end of the project, it wasn’t just a dustbin, it was a fully functional, team-built prototype with brains, motion, and a lot of personality.
🎯 Why It Matters
In a world where tech literacy is becoming as essential as reading and writing, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, regardless of background or financial means. That’s why our model focuses on being:
Accessible: Priced with families in mind, without sacrificing quality.
Inclusive: Everyone participates, girls and boys, introverts and extroverts, future coders and budding designers.
Comprehensive: We combine engineering principles with creativity, public speaking, and teamwork.
By making STEM education hands-on, team-driven, and real-world relevant, we’re not just preparing kids for the future, we’re helping them shape it.
🚀 Join Us for Saturday Sessions!
We’re inviting new students to be part of the journey! Whether your child is just getting curious about how things work or already dreams of building robots, there’s a place for them here.
Our sessions are fun, practical, and built around real projects that inspire innovation and teamwork.
🎓 Open to young learners ready to explore AI, robotics, and creative problem-solving in a hands-on, team-based setting. Our classes are affordable, engaging, and designed to spark innovation at every step.
Let’s shape the future, one innovation, one idea, one child at a time.
